Common’s latest CD rap music album is entitled Finding Forever and was released a couple months back. His last CD rap music album, Be, was an instant 2005 classic. What sets Common apart from many other mainstream rappers is that he is for the people and his lyrics reflect that. I put Common in the same category as other lyrically conscious rappers such as Talib Kweli, Dead Prez or Nas. Being a Chicago native some of his beats could be considered similar sounding to Kanye West. I have attached a music video for his single “The People” which will give you a good idea about the direction of this CD rap music album. If you enjoyed his first CD rap music album then this is a must have. With a fairly short total album time, you will quickly be able to listen to the twelve songs on the album in just under an hour.
