The Eagles have sold 120 million albums worldwide. Eagles: Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the top selling album in US history. The Long Road Out Of Eden, is the group's first studio album since 1979's The Long Run.
The Eagles striked a deal with Wal-Mart, who'll for the first year, their music cd will be offered exclusively at the giant box chain store, which bought a fixed quantity with the promise of no returns. The Eagles also sealed a deal with Amazon, after refusing iTunes terms. Says Henley, " Amazon's new MP3 store has better quality, and the songs are 10 cents cheaper.
The Eagles have been one of my all time best groups. Songs like, One Of These Nights, which still sounds awesome today.
